Who are we - the people behind AmazingGreys?

Jan Wiklund, 56, started AmazingGreys having spent a lot of time travelling around the world – and often in south-east asia. Jan has been working most his professional life with education and training within the swedish forest industry. He´s a vocational teacher and holds a B.Sc. in psychology. Malaysia has for Jan become the natural place to retire in 5-6 years from now. Jans experiences from individual travels, combined with an understanding of the needs and wishes expelled in the 50+ group, lead to the decision to start a company that at the same time is a network. Of course AmazingGreys is a play with words, giving a hint on the magnificent potential there is behind the grey temples of a person in the 50+ group.
Jan lives in a small forest-village in the midsweden inland, and from there he covers all of Sweden in his line of work.

Alfiya Akberdina, 50 , B.Sc. and a teacher in english in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russian Federation. Alfiya and Jan met “on the net” and share the same interest in people, cultures, travelling and communication. Alfiya works part-time as a teacher in school number 3 in Ufa and part-time as a private teacher. Alfiya has since the 90´s spent lots of time travelling, and has become an experienced traveller and also a travel agent, since she goes to the United Kingdom every year together with her students, a trip that she arranges herself. Alfiya will also retire in 5-6 years time, and from that time on Penang will be the new base for both of them. Alfiya lives in a cityapartment in Ufa, in Bashkortostan, in southeast Russia, at the foot of the mighty Ural mountains.
